BARRETT OPPORTUNITY FUND

Investment Objective

The Fund seeks to achieve above average long-term capital appreciation. Current income is a secondary objective.

Investment Strategy

The Fund invests primarily in common stocks but may also invest in securities convertible into common stock and fixed income securities. The Fund varies its investments across different industries and may invest in companies of any size, however its primary focus is on medium and large capitalization companies. The Fund managers seek to identify those companies whose securities are undervalued based on the manager’s judgment of the company’s sustainable earnings growth.

Investment Risk

The Fund is non-diversified, which means that it can invest a higher percentage of its assets in any one issuer. Investing in a non-diversified fund may entail greater risks than is normally associated with more widely diversified funds. Investing in foreign securities is subject to certain risks not associated with domestic investing, such as currency fluctuations, and changes in political and economic conditions. Investing in small- and mid-capitalization stocks may be more volatile than large-capitalization stocks. The value approach to investing involves risk that stocks may remain undervalued.
